My name is Mina. I am a writer, filmmaker and makeup artist. You will find my portfolio and projects I have worked on below. I am Dutch and Bulgarian, and moved to Stockholm when I was six. After finishing Stockholm International School I moved to Berlin to study film.
I studied with Make-Up Designory in Berlin and am certified in beauty and SFX. I got interested in makeup as a teenager and was always drawn to sfx and halloween makeup. I taught myself to use scar wax and liquid latex. While at film school, I was often asked to do makeup for projects, sometimes doing cuts, bullet wounds and even a bald cap. After graduating from MET film school, I decided to take some courses with MUD.

From a young age, I had decided I wanted to work in film. I studied at MET film school and completed a bachelor’s program in practical filmmaking. During my education, I wrote and directed two short films that are currently in post production. I worked on student and professional projects, mostly working in the art department, 1st ADing and doing costume and makeup.

I write mostly fiction, generally psychological fiction and sometimes experimental pieces. While at film school, I learned about script writing and have written two short films that are currently in post production. I have written some poetry as well, below you will find a piece published in Opal Age Tribune Magazine. I am currently working on two projects, more information about that coming soon!
